Governance and Energy-Environmental Models_test

The Governance and Energy-Environmental Modeling area deals with the estimation of environmental and energy impacts of human activities, supporting decision-makers in companies and public institutions in the definition of policies to reduce, mitigate, and compensate for pollution and in the path to greater energy efficiency, through the modeling approach.

The team of TerrAria is coordinated by Giuseppe Maffeis, an expert in atmospheric physics with competences in the energy field; in fact, he deals with energy audits in obligated and non-obligated companies and feasibility studies for efficiency interventions. He is EME ( Energy Management Expert UNI CEI 11339:2009) civil sector SECEM Certified N°4-2015-SC/228.

Energy Management for Public Administrations
Analysing the energy consumption of public buildings, public lighting systems and vehicle fleets, and monitoring trends over time and any anomalies, is the first step in identifying opportunities for consumption rationalisation and energy efficiency improvements across public assets.
Energy Efficiency for Companies
A central objective involves fostering the identification of measures designed to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions and energy consumption, by encouraging energy efficiency and highlighting its environmental and economic advantages.
Air, Climate and Energy Planning and Related Environmental Assessment
Environmental planning encompasses activities such as air-quality plans, climate-transition strategies, energy plans, and Strategic Environmental Assessments, drawing on integrated analyses, scenario modelling, and advanced technical tools to support sound, coherent, and sustainable decision-making.
Air Quality Modelling
Air quality assessment supports policy makers in defining air-pollution reduction, mitigation, and offsetting strategies across regional, local, and urban scales. Advanced tools (Decision Support Systems, Digital Twins, and modelling platforms) enhance analysis, scenario evaluation, and evidence-based decision-making.
Acoustic Modelling
Within the framework of planning activities for noise impact reduction and control, assistance is offered to public authorities in the development of Strategic Noise Maps, Noise Maps, and Action Plans, helping to guide informed and sustainable decision-making.
