Therefore, following the acquisition, validation, processing and analysis of the relevant geospatial data, results are published online and made accessible to users. In this way, GIS are no longer limited to a single machine: data, functionalities and catalogues are all available via the internet.<\/p>\n<p>WebGIS enable <strong>interoperability of geospatial data and functionalities<\/strong>, ensuring interaction between different machines over a network. In particular, the most significant examples of interoperable elements required for web-based GIS include catalogues (collections of metadata), data repositories, viewers and editing systems, which make it possible to visualise and process any type of geospatial data without requiring a specific dedicated workstation.<\/p>\n<p>TerrAria\u2019s work fits precisely within this framework. In particular, we develop <strong>WebGIS<\/strong>\u2014including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/case-studies\/silvia\/\"><strong>SILVIA<\/strong><\/a> (Lombard Information System for Environmental Impact Assessment), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/case-studies\/vigis\/\"><strong>ViGIS<\/strong><\/a> (Vegetation Index Geographic Information System) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/case-studies\/lombardy-geoportal\/\"><strong>Geoportal of Lombardy<\/strong><\/a>, that <strong>allow users to view and query geospatial information<\/strong>, process it using specific tools, and obtain and download results by applying spatial filters.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Information systems for spatial and geospatial analysis<\/p>\n","protected":false},"parent":0,"template":"","aree-servizi":[52],"class_list":["post-517","servizio","type-servizio","status-publish","hentry","aree-servizi-software-design-development"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/servizio\/517","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/servizio"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/servizio"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=517"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"aree-servizi","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/aree-servizi?post=517"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
