TerrAria has applied machine learning techniques within various algorithms, procedures and applications related to different issues.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, within the air quality-focused\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/case-studies\/opera\/\"><strong>OPERA<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0project, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/products\/riat-plus\/\"><strong>RIAT+\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>application uses nonlinear relationships identified by means of\u00a0<strong>artificial neural networks (ANNs)\u00a0<\/strong>trained to replicate results obtained with deterministic\u00a0<strong>air quality models.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/case-studies\/masai\/\"><strong>MASAI<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0project, TerrAria was involved in the development of the\u00a0<strong>deep learning algorithm<\/strong>, applied in the VHR module of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/products\/masai\/\"><strong>MASAI<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0tool, for the identification of infrastructure damage due to the war in Ukraine from ultra-high resolution satellite imagery.<\/p>\n<p>Within the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/products\/epico-19\/\"><strong>EPICO19<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0project and its the\u00a0application, in order to estimate COVID19-related cases and hospitalizations for 7 days and with spatial detail, a deep learning algorithm based on a\u00a0<strong>Convolutional Long Short Term\u00a0Memory<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>model\u00a0<\/strong>was\u00a0employed to take into account the\u00a0<strong>spatial correlation of pandemic spread.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The use of AI for environmental and social issues\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"parent":0,"template":"","aree-servizi":[54],"class_list":["post-528","servizio","type-servizio","status-publish","hentry","aree-servizi-research-and-development"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/servizio\/528","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/servizio"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/servizio"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=528"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"aree-servizi","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.terraria.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/aree-servizi?post=528"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
