IT Governance & Reporting Energy Environmental Assessment Research and Development

In addition to its core fields, TerrAria for years has been constantly investing substantial resources in innovation and research&development, in particular is very active in building partnerships for European and regional calls, as coordinator, partner or subcontractor.TerrAria’s team in recent years has acquired skills and expertise to fully deal all aspects of the procedure required by the funding calls. TerrAria actively participates in the presentation of research&development projects and succeeds in their implementation and technical management/administration in various contexts of national and international level. TerrAria has participated and participates in a consortium with other partners (ARPA, Universities, private companies ...) in LIFE projects, IEE, Interreg, FP7, funding MIUR, ERDF and other Europeans calls.

In the local nearest context - Lombardy Region – TerrAria has participated and obtained funding in the 2014-2015 period for two SMART CITIES AND COMMUNITIES projects: SIMULATOR - of which was the leader of 11 partners, and SEGUICI. Moreover, TerrAria developed a specific expertise of fund raising in energy efficiency getting EIB funding (European Investment Bank) for 54 million of the Province of Bergamo investment program (FABER Project Funding Action in Bergamo for Emission Reduction) and with the participation of the Cariplo Foundation funding calls, accompanying both the municipalities and the NGO in presenting the proposal and realizing the project, in case of financing.

  • ErgApp: the software for the enterprises’ energy efficiency, in the launch phase
  • CO20: the tool for SEAP (Action Plans for Sustainable Energy), the market leader in continuous evolution with the latest development in the field of physical monitoring: CO20plus
  • SINERGIE: a decision support system in the civil protection field, through this experience it was possible to design and realize SIMULATOR project

The new research&development TerrAria’s team is the result of the twenty years of experience in the field of the air quality modeling, the decennial experience in energy efficiency and skills acquired on the decision support systems integrated to monitoring and modeling systems. He has participated in numerous European and national projects where he held positions of responsibility: he was a member of the Steering Committee in the project OPERA (EU LIFE) and the APPRAISAL project (EU FP7); he is now part of the Steering Committee in the IRIS project (EU LIFE); he was expert advisor on behalf of Finlombarda in FIDIAS (ALPINE SPACE), BioEnerGIS (IEE) projects; he has played the role of scientific coordinator for some TerrAria’s projects: SINOPIAE (Ministry of Education, University and Research of Lombardy Region), SEGUICI and SIMULATOR (European Fund for Regional Development Lombardy Region); in SIMULATOR he was responsible for the project management for a team of 11 partner. TerrAria through participation in national and international research&development projects has built a very wide and varied contacts network (from research centers to SMEs and large enterprises), and particularly suited to provide competent and effective partnerships.
